This page has pictures of the Specialty line of horses made by Hagen Renaker. I'll picture them in the order they were released and I will try to add whatever information I can about them. Several of these horses were released as Special Runs. There were 10 Specialty horses released in 1998. Hagen Renaker held a naming contest for these horses and the winning name won a test color horse. Some of the dates given are estimates. I will do a little more research and make corrections. |

1995 to current. The blonde haired version was issued first.
The gray pony without the girl was a 1995 SR of 250

1997 to 2006. This mold was reworked in 2005.
The second version has his arm raised higher. The green shirt Cowboy is a test piece.

1998-2000. The Snowflake Appaloosa Sizzle is a Naming Contest Prize, The other Sizzle is a Test Piece
Hagen Renaker Specialty Morgan Family, Shiloh, Liberty Belle and Legacy
1998-2000. The buckskin horse was a prize in the Hagen Renaker Naming Contest
HR reissued them in Charcoal as minis without changing the size in 2007

The small Zebra is a test piece
Stoneware pieces are fired at a higher temperature for a longer period
Pieces shrink more during this process, and end up much smaller
You have to start out with a larger piece than normal for it to end up the correct size
I like how the stripes are reversed on these 2
